CelebNMusic247.com reports that Chico DeBarge was reportedly arrested in November for drug possession.

What is worse is Chico DeBarge was BUSTED because this could have been avoided if he didn’t lock the key in his car.

According to reports, Chico DeBarge was arrested for drug possession in Burbank, CA. He was seen attempting to break into his own SUV with a wire in a Walmart parking lot when police arrived

The 53-year-old was assumed to be attempting to break into the vehicle, so Burbank police searched him. They ended up finding methamphetamine in Chico’s pockets and drug paraphernalia.

DeBarge was booked and released; formal charges are pending, according to TMZ.

There is a long-running history of drug troubles in the DeBarge family.

Chico, however, is not the only DeBarge family member that has been in trouble with the law for use of drugs. His brother Bobby DeBarge was sentenced to five years in jail in 1988 for drug trafficking, according to the Michigan Chronicle.

The lead singer of DeBarge, El DeBarge also had a problem with drugs. In 2001, he was arrested for cocaine possession and was put on probation, he then received probation again in 2006 for the same charge. But in 2008, he was arrested for possession of crack and sentenced to two years in state prison.
