Charlize Theron Says her 7-Year-Old Daughter is TransgenderCelebNMusic247.com reports that Charlize Theron dropped a bomb this week speaking on the gender of her child which turns that they already identified as a girl and not a boy.

This kind of changes everything on sexual identity and gender because most people don’t come out and identify their sexuality until their teens. A lot may have a hunch, but many are no sure, confused or in denial.

There are so many pressures when you are a child because you think “Is there something wrong with me?” “What will my parents say?” “Will they still love me?” I don’t want to disappoint them?” “I am their only son and they want grandkids, what do I do?”

No heterosexual will ever truly understand the fears, thoughts, questions and things that a queer individual goes through.?

What is great about Charlize Theron is that she has made the announcement, and is embracing her daughter as should any parent.

Charlize spoke with the Daily Mail about her son identifying and a transgender girl.

She explains:

Yes, I thought she was a boy, too. Until she looked at me when she was three years old and said: ‘I am not a boy!’

The “Long Shot” star shared:

So there you go! I have two beautiful daughters who, just like any parent, I want to protect and I want to see thrive. They were born who they are and exactly where in the world both of them get to find themselves as they grow up, and who they want to be, is not for me to decide.

She says that she dressed Jackson in female clothes from there on out, embracing her child for who she is.

My job as a parent is to celebrate them and to love them and to make sure that they have everything they need in order to be what they want to be. And I will do everything in my power for my kids to have that right and to be protected within that.

Theron, 43, who grew up in South Africa explains:

You know, I grew up in [South Africa] where people lived with half-truths and lies and whispers and nobody said anything outright, and I was raised very specifically not to be like that. I was taught by my mom that you have to speak up; you have to be able to know that, when this life is over, you’ll have lived the truth you’re comfortable with, and that nothing negative can come from that.

Theron adopted Jackson in 2012 and daughter August three years later.
