With Linkin Park’s front man, Chester Bennington leading STP, the Stone Temple Pilots Give Stellar Set at Aftershock 2015!!!
The energy of Stone Temple Pilot’s was extraordinary and Chester sounded incredible. He made STP come to life as the three founding members rocked the East Stage at the Monster Energy Aftershock Music Festival 2015. Check out the Stone Temple Pilots gallery on the flip…
One of the MUST live performances at Aftershock 2015 was Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington of Linkin Park as the frontman for the foursome!
STP gave an incredible performance running through their catalog of hits from the 90s and 2000 with a 10 song set that included “Sex Type Thing”, “Wicked Garden”, “Vasoline”, “Big Bang Baby”, “Crackerman”, “Out of Time”, “Big Empty”, “Plush”, “Interstate Love Song” and “Dead & Bloated.”
Chester Bennington replaced Scott Weiland, who is touring with his own band Scott Weiland the wildabouts, who played at this BottleRock Napa 2015. As for Bennington, it is rumored that this will be his last performance with STP, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
What we loved about the Stone Temple Pilots performance is that Chester breathes new life into the San Diego, California band that members include Dean and Robert DeLeo, and Eric Kretz. Can you believe that STP has been going strong since 1986 with the exception of a few bumps in the rock because of Wieland’s drug addiction.

We had seen STP several times in Southern California as well as Linkin Park who was a yearly staple band for us to see, but the blend of Chester and STP is complete perfection.
Here are some STP videos when Scott Weiland was the frontman for the group:
