After failing to pay over $160,000 in child support dating back to 2004, rapper Capone has been arrested.
Yesterday [Tuesday, Sept 5th] Capone was arrested on charges of child-support evasion after failing to fork over $160,000 dating back to 2004.
According to NY Post, the rapper, best known as N.O.R.E.‘s partner-in-rhyme in C-N-N, was released on a $10,000 personal-recognizance bond, and must pay $1,500 a month until his 12-year-old daughter turns 21. Prosecutors claim that the emcee has only made three payments in eight years, amounting to $144.
The Dead-Beat Dad said outside of court [9/5/12]:
“It is what it is.”
“I know it looks bad on paper, but I take care of my daughter.”
Capone was arrested in his New Jersey home and his travel will now be limited to New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
