CelebNMusic247.com learned on Friday that Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk reportedly called it quits earlier this week.
It was also reported that the celebrity couple was working on figuring out how to properly share custody of their daughter, Lea De Seine.
The 33-year-old supermodel reportedly decided to end her relationship with the ‘A Star is Born’ star – with whom she has two-year-old daughter Lea De Seine – at the end of last month because the pair rarely spent any time together.
Months before the breakup, Bradley Cooper opened up about his relationship and shared having Lea and Shayk in his life was a dream come true.
Bradley Cooper told NPR’s Morning Edition in September 2018 during a press tour for A Star Is Born:
I guess having a child, and having a family of my own — which is a miracle and something I’ve always dreamt of — has opened me up even more, I guess, to the day, and to be present.
Life & Style Magazine reported the pair had tried to make it “work for the sake of their daughter,” but their busy schedules and careers made it difficult for them to work on the relationship.
A source told PEOPLE:
[Irina is] not focused on the celebrity part, or on the fame — she just wants to protect her family. Bradley is very into work and is trying to take advantage of every career opportunity right now. They spent a lot of time apart.
Bradley and Irina’s married was basically just on paper since they hardly saw each other.
The source adds:
They were living totally separate lives. If he was in L.A., she’s out of town, and if she was in town, he was out of town.
With the news of the split out there, another source revealed the pair are focusing on the most important part in their lives, Lea De Seine.
Another source told In Touch:
Lea is the best thing that’s ever happened to Bradley, so he doesn’t have any regrets. He’ll always care about Irina, but it’s reached the point where neither of them wants to continue sacrificing their happiness to stay stuck in a bad relationship.
It is said that the couple had drifted apart.
