(CelebNMusic247-News) Beanie Sigel Slapped with More Jail Time
Sigel has just been slapped with and additional 6 on top of his 23 month jail sentence for a drug possession charge which Beans received last August after his car was pulled over for driving erratically.
To recap:
Last August, two weeks before turning himself in to complete a two year prison sentence for tax evasion, troubled rapper Beanie Sigel was pulled over and arrested for carrying pills and codeine syrup without a prescription! At the time of the arrest, Beanie was found to be in possession of a loaded gun, codeine, prescription pills and a small amount of marijuana. The gun charges were eventually dropped and Gerald Andrews.
Andrews was actually driving the car was charged and convicted for the weapon. He too was sentenced to between 2 – 5 years.
However, Beanie Sigel has been in jail since his August 2012 arrest and just got slapped with a 6 to 23 month sentence on his drug charge.
Beans’ lawyer, who is hoping The Broad Street Bully will be allowed to serve his sentences concurrently, explained to the court:
“Mr. Grant has been a successful entertainer and musician in the Philadelphia community for decades. Obviously, he’s had an incredible amount of success and opportunity in his life. He’s also made some mistakes, which have ended up putting him in custody. He’s ready to go ahead and put that behind him and move on with his life.”
“He has a lot of catching up to do, but he also has a lot of talent and a lot of opportunity, hopefully. So the prospect is that he can get out and move on and start doing something productive with his life.”
