Its official the ground breaking journalist Barbara Walters, who has been in the business on TV for over 50 years has announced her retirement not just from The View, but from TV all together.
From NBC to ABC to ground breaking interviews to The View…Barbara Walters has done it all and now she is nearing the end of her road, once again by her choice!
The 83-year-old, Walters is the woman who change the title of news girl to co-host in 1972 and interviewed some of the most powerful men in the world will be hanging her hat on the wall of fame and stepping away from being in front of the camera after the last show of the 2014 season.
Although Barbara also announced that she will be back on occasion for special shows from time to time she will stay on board at The Veiw as executive producer.
She is in good health and this is her solely her decision. She just wants to sit back and finally relax from a very busy 50 years of journalism.
So there you have it – The rumors are no more and its official that we have Barbara Walters for one more year and then she will step behind the camera.
We just want to say thank you Mrs Walters for all your hard work and how you’ve inspired us to be better writers and journalist ourselves.
