Disney has set May 1, 2015, as the release date for Marvel Studios’ sequel to Avengers.
Last week, Disney revealed that Joss Whedon, who co-wrote and directed the movie, was returning for a sequel after signing an exclusive deal with Marvel through June 2015.
Iron Man 3 starring Robert Downey Jr. Marvel is currently in production, however, Downey hurt his foot, causing a slight production delay. The movie will still release on May 3, 2013.
Marvel plans to release Captain America: The Winder Soldier April 4, 2014, and Thor: The Dark World on November 8, 2013.
New to the franchise will be a Guardians of the Galaxy movie, which is still looking for a director. The release date for Guardians is August 1, 2014.
