August Alsina Breaks Silence On Jada Pinkett-Smith Affair!

CelebNMusic247.com reports that ‘Entanglements’ singer opened up about the backlash he’s received for the headline-grabbing news he had an affair with Jada-Pinkett Smith.
We previously reported that Jada-Pinkett Smith and her husband Will Smith discussed the situation and at the time the celebrity couple was separated when it took place.
August Alsina claims amid mounting pressure of rumors about it, and it starting to affect his business affairs. So, he decided to come forward about the relationship.
The 27-year-old singer said a contributing factor was becoming the legal guardian of his three nieces after both of their parents passed away. August, who calls them his ‘naughters’ is now the guardian of three girls, (Chaylin, 14, Amaiya, 13, Kayden, 11).
Alsina Told PEOPLE:
I never really cared about what people thought of me, but my personal life started to seep into my business life.
He continued:
There were certain falsities about me, and it affected my business relationships.”I could understand why it would look like I’m reckless or disrespectful so it really started to affect my livelihood, and I’m never okay with that. I got three kids to look after. Kill me, hate me, stone me, but bury me an honest man. All I can do is tell the truth.
The singer does admit he never meant to start any trouble for the Smith Family…
Alsina adds:
I’m always going to be in the driver’s seat of my life and control my narrative…I can’t let anybody else do that for me.
As for Jada Pinkett’s explanation of the situation (an entanglement) as a joke, he chose to write a song with Rick Ross.
He explains:
It was cool when people were able to use it as a mockery of me, like, ‘Oh, you’re an entanglement,’
Alsina claims that when he made lemonade out of the lemon situation, he was judged:
He states:
When I flipped it, it became a problem for people. Like, ‘Oh, you’re clout-chasing.’ I’m just doing business. It’s not personal.
Despite the backlash, Alsina doesn’t see his relationship with the Smith’s as completely broken, a family he has ‘deep respect’ for to this day.
