Once again Ashanti changes things up with her new radio friendly and pop sounding single “Never Should Have.”
The former Murda Inc princess, Ashanti has a new album Brave Heart that is currently available on iTunes and is released on her own label, Written Entertainment.
In a recent interview with Hot 97‘s Ebro, Ashanti admitted that the song is about Nelly and the issues they went through. Although she tends to get vague when it comes to their long stint dating, Ashanti tends to shy away on details of her relationship with Nelly.
UPDATE: On July 30th Ashanti took to Instagram today to announce that the album Braveheart has been pushed back again, on the very day it was scheduled to drop in stores.
She also posted this brand new promo photo above, shot by Robert Ector, who says he can’t wait to unveil the rest. ‘Braveheart’ has suffered multiple pushbacks this year and none of her songs have debuted on the Billboard Hot 100. She was set to drop ‘Braveheart’, her first independent release, on her own label, Written Entertainment today. And it was going to be distributed viaeOne Music. When addressing the delay, she wrote:
Hey y’all! So BraveHeart is NOT coming out today we have clearances & legalities to take of. It costs to be the boss!!! This CEO sh#t is Not A Game! Lol looking like September.
