Anthony Anderson will not be charged following an investigation into sexual assault allegations against the “Black-ish” star.

Earlier this year, a woman told officials that the “Black-ish” star sexually assaulted her last year after the two met at an event she catered.

At the time, Anderson denied the allegations, stating:

It’s unfortunate that anyone can file a police report whether it is true or false.

Following the accusations, it only took a few weeks for Anderson to be officially in the clear.

The Blast reports:

The District Attorney has refused to prosecute over “lack of sufficient evidence to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the allegations.”

The reason is that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office said that the alleged victim refused to be interviewed by the investigating officer. The officer noted that it is “vital” to the investigation that the reporting party go over the details with authorities.

This is not the first time Anderson had sexual assault claims against him. Back in 2004, he was accused of raping a woman on the set of “Hustle & Flow.” That case was later dismissed.
