The Canyon does not have the same psychiatric resources as UCLA, and the actress is on a special hold because doctors are worried about her mental condition. Reports have surfaced that she’s been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Bynes reportedly transferred to The Canyon three weeks ago and has very little contact with other people. She is no longer wearing her blue wig and is “paranoid” that paparazzi will take pictures of her.
The actress was hospitalized in July. She was put on a 5150 psychiatric hold after setting fire to a woman’s driveway in her parents’ Thousand Oaks, Calif., neighborhood.
Earlier this month, the actress was ruled mentally unfit to deal with the legal proceedings stemming from an April 2012 drunk driving arrest in West Hollywood, Calif., when she was found to be under the influence after side-swiping a police car.
