Adele’s Instagram Tribute to Notting Hill Carnival Receives Backlash!
We bet Adele NEVER thought she would get this type of reaction just being herself. These days everyone is ready to point the finger cultural appropriation.
See, Adele posted a photo of herself wearing Bantu Knots and a Jamaican flag bikini top which social media quickly took offense too. Like we’ve said before, “social media is NOT your friend. It is full of lonely people just waiting to attack and criticize what they’re not a part of.” Read on to see what everyone is saying about Adele’s Instagram Tribute…
CelebNMusic247.com feels that anyone can do what makes them happy and if Adele wants to wear Bantu Knots and a Jamaican flag bikini top, so be it.
Adele can do whatever she damn pleases. Remember, the words free country?
On Sunday Adele’s newest post got some unwelcome attention after it started trending-on-Twitter.
The post had the singer rocking a Jamaican flag-themed bikini top with her hair up in Bantu knots. It’s clear from that caption that it’s a tribute to London’s annual Notting Hill Carnival, which was called off in 2020 due to COVID.
Despite, Adele enjoying her day and look, Twitter Trolls were on the attack ready to criticize Adele for her choice of hairstyle and clothing.
Twitter had a mixed response to Adele’s outfit and hair:
To the people pretending to be woke and dragging Adele… if u’re not Jamaican pls stfu pic.twitter.com/IgqlCrOanQ

If 2020 couldn’t get anymore bizarre, Adele is giving us Bantu knots and cultural appropriation that nobody asked for.
This officially marks all of the top white women in pop as problematic.

Finally, someone decided to explain the history of the festival and why Adele is wearing the Bantu Knots.
The Notting Hill Carnival that takes place at this time of year is a celebration of West Indies heritage in London/UK. Adele grew up in Tottenham, one of the largest Jamaican diasporas in the UK. This seems a strange thing for Americans to now get offended about
