Snoop Dogg Lion, born Calvin Broadus, is speaking out about the media talking about he and his 6-foot-2, 185-pound son Cordell, aka “Rook” who plays defensive back for Diamond Bar High School on homecoming weekend.
As usual the media BLASTED Snoop for the pictures that surface of he and his son smoking weed. A certain website called out Snoop saying the pictures of he and Cordel is a “parenting fail.”
Well, Snoop has fired back in an interview with Mom Blog Cafe Mom:
“I know what you’re thinking. Snoop Dogg/Lion/Hippopotamus smokes weed? I’m so … not … surprised!”
“But here’s what is surprising, y’all. This is a guy who has bragged about giving his kids a “normal existence” despite their dad’s fame. I’m not sure where “smoking a bong with dad” is considered normal, but it’s not the United States. It makes you wonder what his kids really think of him, doesn’t it? They certainly don’t respect him.”
Then Snoop told the Hollywood Reporter:
Snoop Lion explains:
“My kids can do whatever the hell they want.”
“For me to say otherwise would be hypocritical. A lot of motherf–ers don’t have a relationship with their kids, and that’s when they get on drugs and have suicidal thoughts and drive drunk. Me and my son is mellow. I’m his father, so I wanna show him the proper way because he looks up to me. What better way to get it than from the master?”
Did you know Snoop smokes about 6 sharpie sized Luke Skywalker blunts a day?
Did you also know that a blunt is the equivalent toa pack of cigarettes? So that would mean he smoke like six-pack of Newports a day. Yuck!
But wait, Snoop live in Los Angeles, and living there is like smoking a pack of cigarettes a day, because of the bad air quality. So he’s a seven packs a day? Eew…
We understand Snoop, you’re trying to be a cool day and that is great, but there are some things you just need to keep to yourself and photos of you and your son smoking together is one of them…Keep it behind closed doors, because not all parents are as cool as you. However, you need to draw a line at some point. Being open about things with your kids is great, but remember your his dad not one of his buddies.
You really need to be a dad with a few standards, because saying partying hard is still NOT the best message to give your kids.
Love ya, respect ya, but draw a line man and step up to responsibility of fatherhood.
