(CelebNMusic247-News) Russell Simmons Def Jam Digital Channel Filled With Negative Stereotype
Russell Simmons’ All Def Digital (ADD) Channel targets young teens focusing on black stereotypes, cliche jokes that are like a bad episode of Dave Chapel
Earlier this week Russell Simmons launched his All Def Digital (ADD) Channel that was to help the black community to grow and give up and coming talents a chance to display their skills in a good light.
The only problem is its none of that! SocialMedia1TV reviewed the channel and says they are disappointed with Russell Simmons Dej Jam Digital Channel on YouTube. Russell kicked off the ADD channel with a controversial video that has been dubbed a travisty to the black community since the music mogul has not only disrespected an African-American icon, Russell Simmons has surpassed Rick Ross and Lil Wayne not only defaming Harriet Tubman but all black women!
Here’s whatBillboard posted on Wednesday:
On Wednesday (Aug 14) Russell Simmons has announced the launch of a new YouTube channel, All Def Digital [via Billboard], a collaboration between Rush Digital Media, Simmons’ media company, and Dreamworks Animation subsidiary Awesomeness TV, one of the most teen-trafficked video platforms. Partnered with Google/YouTube and GlobalGrind.com, All Def Digital will serve as a new source for urban music, comedy, and spoken word.
And after watching the trailers to see what the channel offers, we can tell they’re targeting young minds who think negative stereotypes, bad jokes, disrespectful animation, and cliche black jokes will be a hit.
Only 2 series show any bit of promise “Odd World: MellowHigh,” “The Green Room,” while the other series like “Blackie Sack” may be attempting to mock reality TV shows on MTV, and “Countetfit,” “Spoken Reasons“ trailers falls on their face with cliche stereotypes that just aren’t funny. And to top all the madness ADD offers a animated series targeted at the 44t President Barrack Obama called “B-Rock,” which we are having mixed emotions about. It looks like its trying to be like the Boondocks with an educational edge, but instead it slanders America’s first black president? Is that what African Americans need?
The channel is basically booty thus far and if we tune in it will only be for Odd Future, who already has a successful show on Cartoon Network.
