Joe Giudice Gets 18 Months For Drivers Licence Fraud

Earlier today we reported on Joe Giudice heading to court for his state driver’s license fraud case and we found out that Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Joe Giudice Gets 18 Months For Drivers Licence Fraud!

It was said that Joe was NOT going to take a plea deal because he was already serving 41 months behind bars, but it seems that is NOT the case.

On Wednesday afternoon, Joe Giudice accepted a plea deal in regards to his state driver’s license fraud case. CelebNMusic247.com has learned via USWeekly who was in the courthouse for the sentencing that The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 42, who was recently sentenced to 41 months in jail in his federal case, will serve no additional jail time.

Luckily for Joe, the judge has ruled that his 18-month state sentence as a result of his plea deal will run concurrently with his federal sentence, which is just over three years.

Joe’s prison time will begin after his wife, Teresa Giudice, serves her 15-month federal sentence, which begins Jan. 5, 2015. Basically Joe will begin his sentencing around the spring of 2016.

Today, Joe was sentenced after he was accused of using his brother, Pietro’s identification to obtain a New Jersey driver’s license while his own was suspended due to a past DUI. The court ruled that the father of four’s license will be taken away on March 20 for a time period between six months and up to two years. A judge will look at Giudice’s driving record to determine the length.

Because Joe will be raising his daughters without the help of Teresa while she’s in jail, the court gave him additional time with his license to come up with a plan for their transportation.

The Italian-born Giudice, who is not a U.S. citizen, was warned about his immigration status by the judge, who said:

Virtual certainty that you will be deported because of either this charge or the federal charge.”

Time will tell and hopefully Joe will NOT be deported for his crimes, but being a citizen of the US is a privilege and should NOT be taken for granted!
