Michael Phelps Heading To Rehab After DUI Arrest
Last week we reported on Olympic Gold medalist Michael Phelps who was arrested on DUI charges for the second time and now Michael Phelps Heading To Rehab After DUI Arrest!
It seems, Phelps is growing smarting with age, well somewhat smarter because he should have called Uber instead of driving home which would have saved him the embarrassement of a second DUI charge.
Anyways, CelebNMusic247.com has just got word that Phelps announced that he will be seeking treatment and heading to rehab via TMZ.
In the wake of his September 30 DUI arrest (his second), Michael Phelps has decided to seek treatment and will head to rehab.
“I am extremely disappointed with myself,” he said told TMZ Sports. “I’m going to take some time away to attend a program that will provide the help I need to better understand myself.”
As for his swimming career—and possible 2016 Olympic aspirations—Phelps did not suggest that this would permanently stall his comeback attempt. Rightly, though, his focus is 100 percent on his health: “Swimming is a major part of my life, but right now I need to focus my attention on me as an individual, and do the necessary work to learn from this experience and make better decisions in the future.”
The 18-time Olympic medalist was arrested less than a week ago after being clocked going 84 miles per hour in a 45 zone, then failing a field sobriety test. His previous DUI came in 2004, when he was just 19 years old.
