Pirates 5 Release Date Announced
Jerry Bruckheimer’s Pirates of the Caribbean has just been given a release date for the fifth installment of the franchise along with Johnny Depp.
CelebNMusic247.com has just learned that the newest installment will hit theaters on July 7, 2017. The newest installment will be directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg and is RUMORED to be titled Dead Men Tell No Lies.
Here’s the breakdown:
Pirates of the Caribbean 5 was original set to hit theaters in the summer of 2015, but that plan was scrapped due to reworking the script. Now we know that the script is well on its way to completion in time for the 2017 release.
As of now, Pirates 5 has the July 7 to July 9, 2017, weekend all to itself, but will battle Despicable Me 3 (June 30) and Fantastic Four 2 (July 14) in the box office.
Captain Jack Sparrow‘s last adventure, On Stranger Tides, grossed around $1 billion since its release in 2011, and the franchise gained about $3.7 billion in ticket sales all together. This fifth movie, which will end up in theaters six years after its predecessor, is expected to be another blockbuster hit for Disney.
We’ve traveled to The World’s End and Stanger Tides, dealt with the Curse of the Black Pearl and even opened Dead Man’s Chest so it’s only right to make sure Dead Men Tell No Lies.
