On Sunday, we sadly had to report that Toya Wright lost both of her brothers to gun violence in New Orleans at the intersection of Pauge & North Miro in the 7th Ward.
We got word today that Lil Wayne reportedly hopped a jet to be with Toya Wright following the death of her two brothers last week.
The brothers were shot and died as a result of their injuries– the news was later confirmed by Toya with an Instagram post, where she asked users to pray for her family during what must be an extremely difficult time.
It’s probably unsurprising given the severity of the incident, however it’s being reported that Lil Wayne boarded a private jet that same day, in order to be by Toya and his daughter’s side. Weezy was reportedly very close with both brothers and he was “devastated” by their deaths. One of Toya’s brothers, Rudy, apparently lived with Wayne for some time as well.
Weezy stayed in his native New Orleans from Sunday until Thursday of this week. The funeral service for Toya’s brothers is being held on Friday, however Wayne has decided not to attend in order to prevent a media frenzy. – HNHH
Earlier this week, after hearing the news, Grand Hustle rapper T.I. took to his Instagram page to offer his condolences as well as a strong political message related to the murders.
T.I. said:
“RIP bros. For us to really have an argument in the BLM movement, WE MUST show that Black Lives Matter to us!!!!! We all WE GOT!!!! My family’s condolences.”
The gun violence NEEDS to stop around the US..it’s at and ALL time high since Trump started running for President. He is a spawn in the US. For some reason feel racism and gun violence is OK since Trump has been running. Be SMART vote Hilary and dump Trump! Wake up America…EVERY VOTE counts and if you’re black, Latin, Asian, Hindu, Samoan, Lebanese, Arabic, Islamic or anything other that white voting for Trump is like killing your future.
