In Clefs upcoming autobiographyPurpose: An Immigrant’s Story he reveals that he and Lauryn Hill had been having an affair prior to the Fugees braking up.

the Haitian born producer/MC states in his memoir that Lauryn misled him about her first pregnancy, making Wyclef believe it was his child when it was actually Rohan Marley‘s child.
Wyclef writes:
“In that moment something died between us. I was married and Lauryn and I were having an affair, but she led me to believe that the baby was mine, and I couldn’t forgive that.”
“She could not longer be my muse. Our love spell was broken.”
