(CelebNMusic247 News) Adidas Drops Teyana Taylor and Drake Signs with Nike!
SHOE CHANGE-UP: Adidas Drops Teyana Taylor after very nasty and public Twitter beef with Rihanna while Drake Signs with Nike!
Teyana Taylor may have learned her lesson that social media is NOT always your friend, especially when you get BUSTED beefing on Twitter with Rihanna.
Teyana Taylor’s rep gots some splanning to do?
Recently CelebNMusic247 reported that that it was rumored on social media that Teyana’s latest sneaker (Harlem GLC: “Dark Knight”) would NOT be released because she had been quietly dropped from Adidas over her very nasty and public Twitter beef with Rihanna.
To recap:
Teyana decided it would be a good move to post a photo of Rihanna’s battered face to her Twitter profile and make threats of causing her more injuries than Chris did. Well it was a very stupid move on Taylor’s part and now she is paying the price for her ignorance, because Rihanna’s supporters came together and launched an online petition pushing the shoe company to drop Taylor. Like they should have!
Then, in an attempt of misdirection, Teyana’s rep denied the artist had been dropped, but now it appears that Adidas has decided to set the record straight.
Opsy, someone got caught lying!
A rep from the company confirms to Madame Noire that Teyana has been dropped and it is because of the photo and threats towards Rihanna on Twitter.
The Adidas rep says:
“We have ended our relationship with Teyana Taylor and do not have any upcoming product launches with her.
“All I can say is that adidas partners with athletes and artists who blend well with our brand values. We evaluate our relationships with partners based on the values we hold at adidas and we don’t condone violence of any kind.”
Shortly after the Adidas released the confirmation, Teyana Taylor took to her Twitter account to clap back to let her critics know she had the fastest selling Adidas shoe of all time.
That is great and all, but you don’t publically threaten someone on social media. The same goes for sending death threats and disrespectful hate tweets to celebrities. That is all traceable and celebrities can press charges, because the police and FBI, if needed can track your computer. Public threats are punishable by law and jail time can be a result.
Hey haters, imma let yall finish but I had the fastest sellin adidas of all time. #HandsMicBack&WalksOffStage #Kanyeshrug#ImSleepTho ?????

Kanye has since signed with Adidas reportedly for a whopping $10 million to create a line of shoes. Nike confirmed earlier today that they have a new superstar taking his spot.
After dropping Kanye and his bad attitude, Drake and Nike have teamed up, replacing West with the Young Money rap star.
Drake is now the new spokesperson for the Air Jordan line. On the new deal, Drake says in an official statement:
“Today also happens to be one of the best days of my life. You know, growing up, I’m sure we all idolized this guy – he goes by the name of Michael Jordan. So today, I came to Portland, Oregon and I officially became inducted into the Team Jordan family.”
For the record, Rick Ross is still without a shoe deal since he was dropped by Reebok Shoes earlier this year. No matter how much he raps about the sneakers, they have NOT resigned him.
