Ebro Darden Debunks Jay Z Rumor!?!

What? No Way? He didn’t change it up! Word is, the former Ebro Darden Debunks Jay Z Rumor that Hov is Buying Hot97.

Looks like HOT 97’s Ebro Darden is changing up his story after leaking that Jay Z was buying the radio station.

The crew of Hov97 and the Ebro In The Morning joked that the chances of Jay Z is NOT Happening, well NOT just yet.

Here is a little of what Ebro said on air this morning:

Ebro and the crew of Hov97 aka Hot97 (who also owns 98.7) is setting the record straight that the RUMOR is just a RUMOR! As Ebro puts it is that the possibly of Jay buying Hot 97 is SLIM. On paper the station is worth $250M plus all the digital archives would run around $500M, according to Ebro. If Jay bought Hot 97 they would only be buying the NYC station, not Power106 in LA, that would still be owned by iHeartRadio.

But it is also said that Carmello Anthony may also be part of the celeb names buying into the station. Ebro says that he is going to let the RUMOR live because its a HUGE PR blitz for the radio station and even the sites that hate Hot97 are talking about the buy out.

Once Ebro intervened though, it all turned out to be a fabricated story.

As long as we don’t have another season of Hot97 the “reality series” then we are good because the series was so rehearsed it was sad.
