(CelebNMusic247-News) Justin Bieber Trying to Get Street Cred with Floyd Mayweather?
There’s a new bromance between 36-year-old pro boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., Lil’ Wayne and Justin Bieber who was on full display during fight night Saturday.
The Champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. was accompanied by hip hop star Lil’ Wayne and pop star Justin Bieber while walking to the ring on Saturday night (Sept 14).
We’ve noticed that Floyd Mayweather has done a few change ups since he and his homie 50 Cent had a falling out. Floyd is truly using a marketing angle that is genius, by getting the hip hop community involved with Lil Wayne on the mic and then grabbing crossover attention with pop star Justin Bieber.
What’s in it for the Bieb’s? Well it’s obvious, with his newly tatted arms Justin is trying to kill his teen heart beat image and attain a bad boy image because it sells. But how can a boy pop star get street cred? By hanging out with Floyd Mayweather and being seen walking him out to the ring. Yes it’s marketing at its best and we know his manager Scooter Braun is behind the master plan, but is any of us buying that these two are truly homie’s?
What do you think Floyd and Justin are taking about when alone? And what’s more pathetic is Justin Bieber looks completely out of place hanging with Floyd Mayweather (Check the photo above). A 19 year old boy hanging with a 36 year old boxing champ looks like a groupie, NOT a homie!
Here’s the drop:
As the 36-year-old pro boxer walked to the ring to face off with Mexican fighter Canelo Alvarez, he was escorted by Wayne, who walked beside him rapping a live remix of his hit “A Milli.”
Meanwhile, the 19-year-old pop star strolled along the other side of Mayweather adorned in all black and black shades.
There is one undeniable trait this sundry trio has in common – money.
He was spotted boarding a private plane Sept. 14 with Lil Twist, Lil Za and others, according to TMZ.
“On my way to see the champ #vegas,” he tweeted Saturday.
Touching down, Bieber joined his friend backstage and posted an Instagram photo of him with the champ.
“Me and @floydmayweather right now before the fight,” he wrote before plugging a promotional bit. “Go to showtime.net and order on PPW now.”
And while Lil Wayne was just work for hire and left in the crowd on the sidelines, Justin Bieber did his part when Floyd won the fight holding up his finger saying #1. Yes another work for hire position. Everyone played their part now go back to singing music and hopefully Floyd Mayweather gets better talent.
