CurrenSy recalls a lean misadventure on N.O.R.E.’s Drink Champs podcast thanks to Lil Wayne Curren$y Almost Died From Lean!?!

Now it’s a well-known fact that CurrenSy’s drug choice of is marijuana, but he recalls almost dying from Lean during his appearance on N.O.R.E.’s Drink Champs podcast.

Shante Scott Franklin, better known as CurrenSy, tells the story of the time of he accidentally drank way too much lean on Lil Wayne’s tour bus. Now he’s decided to leave the lean to the “lean professionals,” like Lil Wayne.

Here is what the “Bottom of the Bottle” rapper explains how it all went down. He says Spitta was playing basketball outside Wayne’s tour bus and desperately needed to quench his thirst. He ran onto the bus and pulled out a Hawaiian Punch from the fridge. Little did he know, Wayne had added cough syrup to the Hawaiian Punch bottles and then put them back in the 6-pack plastic ring, so they looked as if they had been untouched.

Curren$y said:

“I ran in basketball thirsty and downed one of them bitches, standing in the hallway of the bus just killing it.”

Shortly after, Wayne walked onto the bus and realized what had happened.

Weezy said:

“Spitta…you probably about to die.” 

Needless to say, Curren$y survived the incident. He passed out nearly immediately and woke up in Miami.

Daaaamn, we completely understand that we had a similar incident and ended up at home. To this day we are like, what the F? How did we get home?
