It seems that Fox has done some juggling of their film release schedule, and now the studio has also announced new dates for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Avatar 2 and two more Marvel movies!!!
Flip and get the latest details on Avatar 2 and more…
CelebNMovies247.com just told you that Alien: Covenant got bumped up from August to May, but that is not the only change up for 20th Century Fox.
The studio has also announced new dates for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, two more Marvel movies and an untitled project produced by James Cameron film. Could this be the long-promised Avatar 2?
Word is, Fox has reserved reserved December 21, 2018 for an untitled Lightstorm production. Lightstorm is Cameron’s production company and Fox is expected to distribute the Avatar sequels. We told you before that James Cameron had planned to release his Avatar sequels at Christmas, which means it would go up against Star Wars Episode VIII.
In addition, Fox has earmarked November 2, 2018 and February 14, 2019 for two new Marvel movies. Our hunch is Deadpool 2 will be taking the February 14, 2019 date, since the first one released the same month in 2016. The other film is leaning toward one of three possiblities, New Mutants, a sequel to X-Men: Apocalypse or Fantastic Four again.
The November 2018 Marvel movie will compete with an untitled Paramount event picture and Disney’s Mulan remake, so it needs to be a big contender. Possibly Ant Man 2? The February 2019 one opens the same week as one of the Universal Monsters films. It looks like Deadpool will be facing off with Monsters.
Lastly, Kingsman: The Golden Circle has moved from June 16, 2017 to October 6, 2017. The slot was originally set for the Channing Tatum Gambit movie, but the project lost its director and the movie has been put on hold. Now Kingsman will now open against My Little Pony and — Blade Runner 2049. Talk about tough competition. The new Kingsman brings back director Matthew Vaughn and stars Taron Egerton and Colin Firth for another adventure about the top-secret elite British spy ring.
There you have it.
