(CelebNMusic247) Tyler Perry‘s Racial Profiling Cops Off The Hook?
Let’s get this straight, the two white Atlanta police officers who Tyler Perry accused of being racist have been exonerated ?
Why does this keep happening in America? Why do white police continue to get off the hook for racial profiling?
After an internal investigation done by the Atlanta PD the cops have been cleared. however, these are the two police officers who pulled Tyler Perry
Perry only made an illegal U-turn because he felt he was being followed. He chose the extreme maneuver in an attempt to protect himself, but ATLPD pulled him over in his $110,000 Porsche for making an illegal left turn.
The two cops that pulled Perry over had no clue who he was, and began to treat him with ill-will. Note there was no dashboard camera in either patrol car to back up the cops’ testimony.
Interesting how that just magically disappeared.
CelebNmusic247 has learned that after being continually harassed by two white cops, Perry was finally let go after a black officer showed up to the scene and informed the two white officers that Perry was famous.
Here is where the poor excuse comes in:
According to docs released by the Atlanta PD, the officers claim they couldn’t see the driver behind his tinted windows, so racially profiling Perry would have been impossible.
The cops claim they believed Perry was driving a stolen car at the time — because it matched a description of a stolen vehicle — and that’s the primary reason he was pulled over.
Now, an internal affairs officers has released a statement after ATLPD concluded their investigation:
“I would submit the evidence shows the actions of both officers with the regard to the traffic stop of Mr. Perry were justified, lawful and proper.”
At time of press Perry’s rep is out of the country and unavailable for comment.
Let CelebNMusic247 recap:
After Tyler Perry’s accusation earlier this year stating that two cops who pulled him over targeted him because he is black has reportedly sparked an investigation into the Atlanta Police Department, back in April.
Then a very angry Tyler Perry took to his Facebook also in April penning an essay about the racial profiling incident.
Perry explained that he was leaving his studio when he made an illegal turn in order to ensure that he was not being followed.
Next, two police officers pulled Perry over and purportedly pressed him about his actions, calling attention to his tinted windows and expressing their suspicion at why Perry believed he was being followed. Thanks to a third officer arrived and seemingly explained who Perry was, and the officers apologized.
Tyler Perry wrote on his official Facebook fan page:
“As I stepped out of the car another officer pulled up in front of my car. This officer was a black guy. He took one look at me and had that “Oh No” look on his face. He immediately took both officers to the back of my car and spoke to them in a hushed tone. After that, one of the officers stayed near his car while one came back, very apologetic.
I said all of that to say this: do you see how quickly this could have turned for the worse?
Now I know that there are many great officers, patrolmen and security guys out there. I am aware of that. But although we have made significant strides with racial profiling in this country, the world needs to know that we are still being racially profiled, and until this situation has improved greatly, I’m not sure how a murder in Florida can be protected by a ‘stand your ground law.’”
Have you noticed that this is a continual habit in America? Why does it matter that a black man who drives out of a studio lot needs to be harassed by police. If a man, either white or black drives out of a studio in a nice car, does NOT mean he stole the car or is a thug.
I know police are doing their job, but they need to really check themselves when it comes to profiling. being a victim of profiling 2 times in my life I understand Tyler’s stance. In my situation both time LAPD beat me up and bounced my head off of their police car for no reason. Both times, after I was cuffed, punched in the stomach and kick in the back of my legs, knocking me to the ground and laying on the cement. After I was laying in pain and motionless the police finally ran my license to find out I was the wrong guy.
Both times the mistook me for a Latin gang member, the only problem is I’m Italian and have no gang affiliation, because I work in the movie entertainment industry.
After I was release both times with cut wrists, thanks to hand cuff place on my wrists to tight, LAPD apologized or warned me not to drive in the area of town I was in. The only problem was I was driving home during one incident and had to travel through the warned area. The other time I was going to get work supplies at a major hardware outlet.
Both incident could have been avoided if cops did their job properly and ran my license first before beating me up. I wish I had Perry money to sue them, but I know when suing the LAPD or any police department, your never gonna win. They make sure of it.
I was hit when driving with my girlfriend in Hollywood one night. A rookie cop shot out of nowhere and SLAMMED into my car while in pursuit.
My car was thrown into a pole and my girlfriend and I were both badly hurt. We gave a police report and at the scene of the incident I was handed a copy of the report by the rookie who injured us. Unfortunately her senior officer saw what she did and quickly grabbed the report out of my hand and told me I would get a copy in two month. Well I never got a copy. I sued the LAPD and over the next three years I was harassed, threatened, and pulled over. I got 6 ticket in one year for bogus shit. And when it was all over, 3 years later i ended up with nothing, because the officer who was battling me in court was pissed because he told me he never loses.
He hated me because I was in the entertainment industry and badgered me for it, saying its people like you I hate. It was a mess. Since then I have NOT been a fan, because of the hell they put me through, so I get what Tyler Perry is talking about.
Do you think the two men should be re-investigated or suspended?
