New Order was Outstanding on day 2 of Coachella 2013!
It’s been over 10 years since New Order has performed any of their music let alone hit the stage, but as lead singer Bernard Sumner explains “sometime you got to work again,” who explained during their remarkable set at Coachella 2013.
The English rock band comprising Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris, Gillian Gilbert, Phil Cunningham and Tom Chapman had been on a very long hiatus relaxing and taking some long overdue time off.
However, New Order did not disappoint one bit. Their show was a amazing and outstanding set, in fact I couldn’t been happier to see how tight they were on stage and I have seen New Order back in the early eighties when Summer’s hit in the head by a bottle at a show in Oakland, California and his forehead bleed on their Lowlife tour in 1985. He immediately stopped the show and the band walked off after two songs. I was pissed, because I really wanted to see them.
Since then I have had the utter most respect for the band that originally started at Joy Division.
This is the seventh time I have seen New Order and still after all these years they have what it takes to rock the house. From their Perfect Kiss dedication to Los Angeles fans, to “Blue Monday” New Order was outstanding at Coachella 2013. They played all their hits and more.
Overall New Order was amazing and we hope to hear new music from them soon, because we’ve been waiting for oh so long!
