CelebNMusic247.com has learned via TMZ that the purple pop star Prince has been hospitalized following an emergency airplane landing after performing in Atlanta.
Here is what we are hearing about the singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actor who has amazed us for three decades:
On Thrursday, he performed for one night at Fox Theatre in Atlanta. The next morning he was on a his private plane, but his private plane made an unscheduled landing around 1 a.m. at Quad City International Airport in Moline, Illinois.  He was immediately taken to the hospital.
Further details are unclear at the moment.
Tonight, just hours ago, (6:43 p.m.): A rep for the singer has told TMZ that Prince “has been fighting the flu for several weeks,” but still wanted to play his Atlanta show because he had been forced to cancel two performances the previous week.
After the show, The “P Control” singer reportedly felt worse, so the plane landed to allow him to go to the hospital. After treatment, he got back on the plane a few hours later and is now back home.
The pop icon’s Twitter account, at least, hasn’t shown signs of distress; it included several posts Friday, including this one:
Get well soon Prince and don’t push it like that, we love you and want you here for years to come!
