NBC’s Truth Be Told Premiere Tonight!!!

There’s a new MUST SEE sitcom NBC’s Truth Be Told Premiere Tonight about two diverse couples,a fearless foursome who are both neighbors and best friends.

The show stars Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar, “Saved by the Bell”) and Tracy (Vanessa Lachey, “Dads”), and Russell (Tone Bell, “Bad Judge”) and Angie (Bresha Webb, “Hung”).

The series follows the fearless foursome as they navigate through life side by side, they can’t help but analyze and obsess about everything. From sex and race to anything else your parents told you never to talk about, absolutely no topic is out-of-bounds for this wildly outspoken group.

Here is the breakdown of the pilot episode of NBC’s Truth Be Told Premiere:

– Mitch makes a scene outside a Chinese restaurant, accusing the valet of being racist for assuming that Mitch owns a Porsche because he’s white, when it actually belongs to his black friend Russell.
– It should probably also be noted that Mitch and Russell pass time in the restaurant by debating whether or not the hostess fakes her Chinese accent.
– Mitch and Tracy have an entire discussion about whether it’s offensive to refer to the couple next door as “they” because they’re Jewish.
– Mitch doesn’t want to hire a hot, “ethnically ambiguous” babysitter because then it’ll look like he has a “thing” for hot, “ethnically ambiguous women,” as his wife is also hot and “ethnically ambiguous.”
– Lastly, Mitch and Russell argue about whether Mitch should be allowed to rap the N-word during “Empire State of Mind.” He’s actually weirdly aggressive about wanting to do it; he even suggests humming it.

The new series tries to touch on being “PC” societies views today and how “we” as people are over thinking everything. From touching on stereotypes, racism, desire, authenticity, correctness – “we”, “they’ “them” whoever, does it matter?

Our society is too sensitive these days and everyone wants to pull some type of race card for relevance. Truth Be Told pokes fun “us” society but does “that” matter.  Our point— words are sometimes irrelevant?

It’s like Seinfeld a show about nothing that had everyone addicted. Will Truth Be Told be the new Seinfeld?
