CelebnMusic247.com reports that “Friends” star Matthew Perry continues to make headlines following critiques of his appearance on the Friends Reunion.

Now, Matthew Perry, 51, and his 29-year-old fiancée have called it quits, according to PEOPLE.

If you recall, Perry and Hurwitz got engaged in November 2020. Perry says there are no hard feelings between the literary manager and himself.

Perry said in a statement to PEOPLE:

Sometimes things just don’t work out and this is one of them. I wish Molly the best.

Hurwitz and the “Friends” star got together in 2018, and Matthew waited until 2020 to pop the question.

Matthew told PEOPLE at the time:

I decided to get engaged. Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time.

The news of the split comes a few days after the triumphant release of the “Friends” reunion. Perry reunited with his former co-stars, Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer. The highly anticipated reunion was filmed at the original soundstage in Burbank, CA that the show was filmed.

The timing of the split is interesting for two reasons. One, he released a statement after the successful release of the reunion, and two, a user of the Raya dating app exposed their private conversations on TikTok earlier this month.

Raya is a very exclusive dating app that allows celebrities and “approved” people to connect and possibly form relationships.

The user claimed their private conversations were cordial and that she never discussed anything sexual with Perry. The Raya user, who has reportedly been kicked off the dating app, alleged that the conversations happened over a year ago.
