Dame Dash Speaks on Jim Jones Attack!
After Jim Jones went SLAMMED Dame Dash publically calling him a culture vulture, a slut and punk f—-t, Damon has stuck this up as “Family Business!”
Dame responded on Instagram saying:
“I’m not sure what exactly would make @jimjonescapo disrespect me publicly or any kind of way but if it’s over money or Buisness i really don’t think that’s the most productive way to deal with things…but I’m always open for discussion as long as we speak as men… I would never be ignorant enough to get on some tuff shit… That’s what’s killing our culture… I have nothing but love for you despite your disrespect…we are all kind of used to the way you react in the moment but it’s just not positive or productive for the culture….let’s lead by example…we can’t be fighting each other it makes us all look dumb harlem does stick together we never fight each other… Please don’t try to make a positive thing look negative….if you have a real issue we can talk about it…my daughter is on this Instagram…. And I love your family my nigga… Let’s hug it up…. We dont need to be fighting #harlemstickstogether”
Dame Dash sat down for interview to discuss his recent social media riff with Jim Jones. During the Q&A, Dame expressed whatever it was that sparked Jim to call him a culture vulture, slut, and punk is “family business.”
Dame is such a different man these days since the fall out of Roc-A-Fella and Jay Z. Instead of EXPLODING like he did back in the fall of Roc-A-Fella Damn expressed his emotions calmly sharing his belief that other people will “put a battery” in someone’s back for their own personal agenda.
Dame has this to say about Capo:
“He’s my brother, and I don’t know why on any level why someone would disrespect me,” said Dame. “What it’s really about is in business, when it comes to Black people when they do business together, it doesn’t matter how much good stuff you do, if one thing is percieved as bad, it might even be misuderstood – Black people get very reactive instead of just talking it through.”
Dash adds that he has no problems with his longtime friend Jones, and he wishes that any person that has issues with him, including Curren$y and Beanie Sigel, would just come and talk to him about it.
The Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder says artists need to work together against the agenda of lawyers and other people he feels are trying to take advantage of creative individuals.
“I would be alright having a conversation with anyone that says that I owe them money. Just as long as it’s a civil conversation,” states Dame. “My intent is to never do bad business. My books are always open. I make people rich. That’s what I do.”
Listen to Dame weighing in on the very public beef. He takes the high road because he knows that this is a big misunderstanding. HipHopMotivations Kenyatta “The Barber Walters” talks to Dame about Jim Jones calling him a “Culture Vulture” on Instagram:
Dame says that he is going to speak with Jim, because that is his friend. He loves Jim, they grew up together and he feels they need to talk it out privately because this makes the culture look bad.
Well we hope Damon and Jim work their differences out, because this sounds like a huge misunderstanding.
Damon feels this makes them look bad to other cultures.
What do you think?
