Apollo Wants A Divorce From Phaedra!?!

On the premiere episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta we find out a lot about Apollo and Phaedra’s marriage coming to an end and Apollo Wants A Divorce!

Ok so let’s get right into it with the sexy bearded Apollo Nida who is readying for his sentencing while his wife Phaedra Parks has left their home and is hiding in a hotel to avoid the paparrazi. Parks basically fled to Augustus, GA with their sons, Ayden and Dylan telling her mother she doesn’t want her sons exposed to the situation or the no where in site “paparrazi” outside of their home. #Lies

Bottom line is Phaedra is PISSED and wants NOTHING to do with Apollo Nida. She feels it’s the ultimate betrayal.

Meanwhile, Apollo (and his beard) is making some eggs when his brother shows up. The two brothers are from different dads and it a bit obvious since Apollo is sexy hot and his bro is, let’s just say not. Anyways, Apollo admits that what he did was wrong and that it can be fixed. We imagine he means with time behind bars, but it seems that he and Teresa Giudice drank from the same bottle of delusion berry.

While Apollo is being sentenced Phaedra sits with her mother speaking about the situation and how she is just exhausted and embarrassed by her husband.

Apollo gets his news that he has been sentenced to 8 years (for wire fraud, bank fraud and mail faud)  – Phaedra was no where to be seen in court. She was instead talking to her mother Pastor Regina Bell about how hurt she is by all of this and that she has no idea what to do. Apollo gets dinner with his mom and brother, and points out that he never imagined he would be away from his kids like his mother was, but now he has made the same mistake. Look – I feel sorry for any parent in this situation, but in this case Apollo you did the crime! You should have thought of your kids while you were defrauding people. Be a man and set the example for your sons now about how to change your life and grow from a situation so you can be there for them in the future. Make the best of the time you have, and accept your consequences.

While Phaedra Parks shields her sons from Apollo’s sentencing he heads over to Todd Tucker crib where he is discussing Apollo landing 8 years with his wife Kandi Burruss.

Apollo goes over to Kandi and Todd’s for some support. Kandi and Todd are on different sides of the equation when it comes to the Parks-Nida marriage, Kandi understands why Phaedra is pissed – because of all the problems their marriage had before Apollo got indicted (ahem… cheating! Kenya!), but she still thinks Phaedra should have reached out a bit more. Todd thinks Phaedra should be ride or die for her man. I think Kandi and Todd have too many people involved in their marriage – first Joyce, now Phaedra and Apollo. Get other people out of your mix!

Todd and Kandi plan to visit Apollo in prison, but Phaedra isn’t sure what to do – she hasn’t even thought of the realities of explaining to her 4 and 1-year-old about their father going to prison or taking her sons to visit him there. Phaedra has a lot to consider, but at least she’s considering her children first – unlike Apollo. Kandi checks in with Phaedra, why didn’t she stand by her man. She tells Phaedra that even Hillary Clinton stood by Bill Clinton when he got in trouble. She says Hillary saved face.

Watch:

It appears that Kandi made no headway with Phaedra on standing by her man, and she refuses to put herself in the middle of their drama – nor does she want to jeopardise their friendship either.

Later things have cooled down a couple days after the sentencing and now Phaedra decided to show up back at their home.

Apollo, who feels abandoned is irrate that Phadra is NOT going to support her husband. Phae has proved that she stands by her man no matter what. She has been ready to throw down on numerous occasions against Kenya Moore, but Identy theft and fraud is where Parks draws the line apparently. She is obviously heartbroken and disgusted so that is why she fled.

Two days later Apollo is back at the house when Phaedra and her mother walk in only to be confronted by and angry husband who wants out of the relationship.

Finally, Phaedra goes home, where Apollo is waiting, bitter and furious and if looks could kill, Phaedra and Apollo would have both dropped to the floor. You can feel the tension between them. While Apollo feels Phaedra abandoned him by disappearing during his sentencing she stands there crossing her arms annoyed.

We were right there with Apollo BLAMING Phaedra, until he said it was her fault for his mistake?

Huh? What?

Apollo says that Phaedra keeping the money from him never giving him any control over their family finances, and always paying the bills, and keeping tight lock on their money drove him to white collar crime.

Did he expect Phaedra to pay for him?

He says he couldn’t live up to Phae Phae’s high standard lifestyle. He continues to complain that Phaedra won’t give him money. At the end of the day, he’s pissed that Phaedra isn’t getting her assets seized – their house, her paychecks, her cars. At the end of the day, Apollo is pissed that he broke the law and ruined his life because of insecurity and wanting to live the high life.

He is so mad at her, he goes on to DEMAND that Phaedra be there for him when he gets out to give him money. He says that if she wouldn’t have been earning so much he wouldn’t have felt like he needed to find away to bring in money to fulfill the pressures she had put on him!?!

He’s kidding, right?

On the flip side, Phaedra is FURIOUS that he ruined her reputation, dragged her name into the mud and all his legal messes, she is now publicly shamed, and that their children are fatherless.

She makes valid points, but Apollo didn’t seem to get any of it. She says she paid his attorney fees. She says she has supported him, but now she has to support her sons, because she is all they have. And she’s right – for the next 8 years, she is all they have.
