Mike Tomlin Wasn’t Amused With Headset!!!

We guess we can strike tonight up to one of those nights when nothing goes right, since both the Patriots and Steelers had issues with malfunctioning headsets but Mike Tomlin wasn’t amused!

The Steelers coach Mike Tomlin Wasn’t Amused With Headset issues during tonight NFL game. The problem apparently had to do with the stadium’s power infrastructure, which was furthered by the weather.

Tomlin said:

“That’s always the case.” 

Tomlin responded:

“Yes.” 

Tomlin was pressed for clarification, but he cut off the reporter, saying:

“I said what I said!”

The headsets are operated by the NFL at each stadium.

Belichick said they never found out why their signals were also jammed, but it sounds like that’s the standard when the systems fail.

Belichick said:

“We never get that answer.”

“They just try to fix it, whether it’s up or it’s down, whatever I don’t know. That’s not really my strong area, technology.”

The NFL released a statement after the game to clarify the situation.

“In the first quarter of tonight’s game, the Pittsburgh coaches experienced interference in their headsets caused by a stadium power infrastructure issue, which was exacerbated by the inclement weather,” NFL spokesman Michael Signora said. “The coaches’ communications equipment, including the headsets, is provided by the NFL for both clubs use on game day. Once the power issue was addressed, the equipment functioned properly with no additional issues.”
