Warner Bros. Suicide Squad Trailer Reveals Jared Leto’s Joker which debuted at Comic-Con in Hall H on Saturday.

Shortly after the presentation the footage leaked soon after the presentation, and the studio spent the last two days trying to erase it off the Internet to no avail. Instead WB opted to go with officially releasing the trailer in hi-res.

Here’s their statement:

“Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation.”

Director David Ayer has set a dark tone for Suicide Squad with another  “sad cover song for the anti-hero action movie”. Its been a trend these days is definitely has a gritty, hard-hitting aesthetic while still feeling unique, and it looks like Ayer had the freedom to create something all his own rather than emulate what Zack Snyder.

Warner Bros.’ anti-hero film also stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, as well as Jim Parrack, Adam Beach, and Ike Barinholtz.
