The Proper Massive Stadium Tour is the biggest run of Fender’s career — two homecoming nights at St James’ Park, two at Wembley, and general sale on October 30.

Verdict first: Sam Fender is no longer an arena act with stadium ambitions — as of this morning, he is a stadium act, full stop. Fender confirmed the dates for his biggest tour yet on Wednesday, October 21, announcing the Proper Massive Stadium Tour across the UK and Ireland for summer 2027, per NME and Far Out Magazine.
The run opens where any Fender story has to open: home. He plays St James’ Park in Newcastle on June 3 and June 5, 2027 — a ground he already holds the record at, having headlined three nights there in 2025 and two in 2023, per Far Out. From there the tour moves to Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on June 10, then to the two biggest headline shows of his career: Wembley Stadium in London, at 90,000 capacity, on June 18 and June 20.
Six cities, one very loud summer
After Wembley, the itinerary pauses — and that pause is already doing work. Fender returns on July 1 at Marlay Park in Dublin, then headlines Belgium’s Rock Werchter festival on July 3, his first European festival headline slot, per Radio X and Scottish Rugby’s Murrayfield announcement. The UK run resumes July 8 at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh and closes with two nights at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on July 15 and July 17.
Alt-rock band Wunderhorse support on all the UK stadium dates, but not at Marlay Park or Rock Werchter, per NME. The empty weekend in the middle of the schedule — June 25 to 27 — lines up exactly with Glastonbury Festival, and NME notes Fender is among the bookmakers’ favourites to headline Worthy Farm, though nothing has been announced and no fan should treat a gap in a tour poster as a confirmation.
The album hiding inside the ticket sale
There is a second story tucked inside this one. Fender’s fourth album is available to pre-order from his official store now, per Far Out and NME, even though its title and release date have not been confirmed. Fans who pre-order before 9 a.m. on Monday, October 26 get access to the tour pre-sale — codes are due by the evening of Tuesday, October 27, ahead of a pre-sale opening at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28. General sale follows at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 30, per Scottish Rugby and Radio X, with a six-ticket maximum per person on the headline dates.
That structure tells you where Fender sits in 2026: the tour is the headline, and the new record rides in on the ticket rush. It is a long way from the North Shields clubs — and the homecoming framing is not marketing decoration. St James’ Park is the room this whole career was aimed at, and he is starting the biggest tour of his life in it, twice.
The 247 Take — Two Wembley nights would be the story for anyone else; for Fender, the story is that Newcastle still gets the first two nights, and that loyalty is exactly why 90,000 people a night now feels believable.
