50 Cent Expands STARZ Partnership
With two successful seasons of the hit Starz series Power and a third season on the way 50 Cent Expands STARZ Partnership.
The Rap mogul, born Curtis Jackson, will continue executive producing Power, which was granted a third season in June.
CelebNMusic247.com has this report via HipHopDX:
50 Cent says:
“Starz has been the perfect partner to make Power the success that it is…and I am looking forward to developing many more record-breaking series with them.”
The second season premiere of the show broke the cable network’s record for most-watched episode of an original series.
Carmi Zlotnik, managing director of STARZ says:
“Curtis is a wonderful hands-on producer and actor on Power…and we look forward to expanding his roles behind-the-camera with Starz over the next two years.”
50 Cent has had a long running feud with Empire since the FOX hit series began last year. He took shots at the show saying that Lee Daniels stole his concept for Empire. However, 50 Cent has been sued by a writer who claims her stole Power concept from him.
Over the weekend 50 took some new shots at Empire claiming that season 2 has too many gay plots and cameos which is killing the vibe of the show.
Currently 50 Cent is readying his crew for season 3 of Power which we already know is going to be hot.
