23 Jump Street Gets Green Light
With the success of Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill‘s 22 Jump Street success it only makes sense that 23 Jump Street Gets Green Light by Sony.
CelebNMusic247.com has just got word via EntertainmentWeekly that its official that the bickering odd couple Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum will be returning in 23 Jump Street.
22 Jump Street is the tenth-highest-grossing movie of the year at the domestic box office–and the highest-grossing movie of the year to feature no superheroes, transformers, monsters, apes, LEGOs, or Maleficents. Unsurprisingly, Deadline reports that Sony is working on a Jump Street threequel (a possibility that 22 Jump Street teasingly joked about.)
The studio has hired writer Rodney Rothman, who was one of the four credited writers on 22 Jump Street. It’s unclear at this point whether directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller will helm the threequel, but they are already onboard as producers.
