Yandy and Mendeecees Officially Married!!!
Last night was the long-awaited Love & Hip Hop Live Wedding where Yandy and Mendeecees Officially Married in front of cameras and some of the Love & Hip Hop family.
After spending eight years together as a couple, Yandy Smith and Mendeecees Harris are finally walking down the aisle. Since much of their relationship was put on display via Love & Hip Hop, it only made sense for the two to tie the knot live on VH1.
The venue was set in Brooklyn for the Love & Hip Hop Live Wedding that aired on Memorial Day (May 25). As Yandy and Mendeecees said their “I do’s to each other (on cue for the cameras) the reality TV couple received some major love from their own Love & Hip Hop cast mates like Peter Gunz, Rich Dollaz and Tara Wallace. Here are some highlights from the Love & Hip Hop Live Wedding:
Yandy’s bridesmaid, Kimbella, was a tad late but made it in enough time to get herself pretty for the ceremony.
Kimbella’s man and former cast member Juelz Santana was also there as one of Mendeecees’ groomsmen, who was the keeper of Yandy’s $30,000 wedding ring from Avianne & Co Jewelers in New York City.
Out of 300 guests, Mends invited 30.
Meanwhile Juelz Santana gave his brother advice:
“Happy Wife, happy life.”
Mendeecees had all of his brothers there, take a look:
Mendeecees also had his son, Lil Mendeecees, be the best man while his middle child, Aasim, had the duty of holding down his dad’s $12,000 wedding band.
Mona Scott-Young (creator of the Love & Hip Hop franchise) and other VH1 reality stars showed up including Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star Ray J, Mob Wives stars Renee Graziano and Karen Gravano, and Love & Hip Hop Atlanta stars Karlie Redd, Scrappy, Rasheeda and Kirk Frost, Yung Joc, Momma Dee, Joseline Hernandez and Stevie J all were in attendance.
The Love & Hip Hop Live Wedding was hosted by Nina Parker, Stevie J and Darian “Big Tigger” Morgan.
K. Michelle was also there to perform an emotional cover of Leela James “Fall for You” and also gifted Yandy a necklace for her “something blue.”
Kandi Burruss repped the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
It was obvious that Yandy Harris had the majority of the say in the day’s nuptials, Not only did she spend $90,000 for flowers but she also had a choice between two $25,000 Pnina Torai gowns, which she let the fans vote on via social media.
Yandy was dubbed the “bling princess” gown, which was an elegant tulle number with a crystal encrusted bodice.
Of course, Mona made sure to capture some wedding drama between the reality TV couple as Yandy and Mendeecees clashed over her tossing so much money into the wedding. $50 stacks on the wedding dress, $90K on the wedding and $30K on her ring.
Then there’s the fact that Yandy wants to have two more children, but Mendeecees’ current legal problems and potential of going to jail, has him very hesitant.
Yandy had to make peace with Judy before tying the knot with Mends.
Finally their issues were put aside (for now). Judy can’t wait to welcome Yandy into the Harris family.
Plus, the Bridesmaids dresses took 3 months to be made, when they arrived they were all the wrong sizes. The shoes didn’t fit so Yandy and her Bridesmaids had to run around New York to find shoes.
After all the drama, Yandy and Mendeecees get their wedding waltz to say their “I do’s.”
They each wrote their own wedding vows and the couple promised their love and commitment to one another in front of all their friends and family as well as the rest of the VH1 viewers.
Mendeecees said:
“I promise to love and protect you through all the days of my life forever.”
While, Yandy, with happy tears said:
“I prayed many moons and sunsets that I’d be standing right here where I am…If ever the world should turn its back on you, I will be right here by your side with no judgment… I’m a better me because you love me.”
