William Shatner Joining Star Trek 3?!?

Word has it that the original Captain Kirk aka William Shatner Joining Star Trek 3 according to actor/writer, Simon Pegg.

CelebNMusic247.com caught wind via Digital Spy that William Shatner could play Captain Kirk in a future Star Trek film.

Here’s the report:

Pegg is currently co-writing the third movie since the reboot of the franchise and will also reprise his role as Scotty.

William Shatner did not feature in Star Trek or Star Trek Into Darkness, but has been tipped for a role in the third movie.

His original series co-star Leonard Nimoy, who passed away earlier this year, appeared in both. However, Pegg, who can be seen in the upcoming film “Man Up”, also revealed that the title of the film – rumored to be Star Trek Beyond – was still “all to play for”.

The writer also dismissed reports that he had been brought on the project to make it “less Star Trek-y”.

Man Up is released in cinemas this Friday (May 29).
