Tron Ride Opens at Disneyland Shanghi!!!

Not only are the Disneyland resorts expanding the experience for Disney lovers they have revamped Tomorrowland as Tron Ride Opens at Disneyland Shanghi.

have you ever dreamed of riding a Lightcycle like in Tron on the grid?

Well now you can, because Disneyland is finally bringing to live the world of Tron in the new Tomorrowland at the newest theme park, Disneyland Shanghi. There you can be just like Flynn and venture into the grid on the newest rollercoaster, the Tron Lightcycle Power Run.

Imagine the world of Tron is now a reality at Disneyland Shanghi, just like in Tron Legacy, which we are hoping that the Disney studios will move forward with the third installment, since they originally announced that Tron 3 will Bring Back Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde, well, that was what they originally announced. Then Tron 3 got AXED By Disney studios after the film Tomorrowland did poor at the box office. We imagine the George Clooney film was amazing, but just like Jupiter Ascending, nobody ventured out to see it. Tron has a HUGE following and fans would have lined up to see Tron Ascension, but who knew it was riding on the success of Clooney’s Tomorrowland. Ascension should have come out first and Tomorrowland second. It would have been better planning on Walt Disney Studios.

There is NOTHING like going back to the grid, so at least the imagineers have designed a ride to immolate the feeling of the grid like Tron Legacy:

Get your identity discs ready. When Shanghai Disneyland opens in spring 2016, the longstanding Tomorrowland fave Space Mountain will play second fiddle to the park’s new TRON ride.

The coaster is called Tron Lightcycle Power Run, and expect the line to be long since it puts you on a Lightcycle like you’re in the movie … the 2010 remake.

Disney didn’t hold back on bringing Tomorrowland well into the future… and the future looks crazy awesome in the promo video they released today.

FYI: Shanghai Disneyland is the sixth Disneyland … joining sister parks in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Paris, Anaheim and flagship Orlando.
