Treasure Island Music Festival Returns for 2018 has just received word that the beloved Bay Area music festival, Treasure Island Music Festival (TIMF) will continue off the island.

The festival will be held at a new location in the San Francisco Bay Area to be announced in the near future, along with additional information surrounding dates, lineup, tickets and more. There will be no Treasure Island Music Festival taking place in 2017; however, fans can expect much of the energy, format and attractions to remain the same when TIMF returns in 2018.

Treasure Island Music Festival Details:

Although the event will no longer be held on Treasure Island, there are no plans to change the festival’s name, if for no other reason than to pay homage to the historic little island that was home to the event for a decade, from unforgettable sets on the two main stages to surprise collaborations and pop-up performances, all of which were set against one of the most amazing festival backdrops in the world. Past performers to grace the TIMF stages have included Outkast, Beck, deadmau5, LCD Soundsystem, Atoms for Peace, Vampire Weekend, Ice Cube, Justice, The National, The xx, Sigur Rós, Massive Attack, Belle & Sebastian, CHVRCHES, James Blake, Major Lazer, The War on Drugs, Disclosure, MGMT, Fleet Foxes, Zedd, Death Cab for Cutie, Haim, and Chromeo.

Since its inception in 2007, the Festival has sought to bring attendees an experience unlike any other, featuring an eclectic mix of music performances with no overlapping sets. In addition to star-studded music lineups each year, TIMF has provided attendees an array of fun activities at the Festival, including the iconic 60-foot Century Ferris Wheel surrounded by an ever-changing diverse mix of interactive art installations, roaming performers, as well as some of the best cuisine in the Bay Area.
