Allen Scott, EVP at Another Planet Entertainment, said:
We are excited to finally reveal the next chapter of our Festival, which is coming to Oakland this October. The city’s vibe, culture and diversity is the backbone of the Bay Area, and one that we are proud to now call home.
Scott added:
In our quest to find the location that best embodies what has made Treasure Island Music Festival the special fest that it is, Middle Harbor Shoreline Park quickly became the clear choice. With breathtaking landscapes featuring views of both the San Francisco Bay and city skylines, while maintaining a unique sense of remoteness and being situated atop a historically significant site, we hope to continue offering our guests a truly special music festival experience.”
Where is TIMF 2018 Located?
MHSP is located just minutes west of downtown Oakland in the scenic Port District. Space was originally built in 2004 on the site of the former Oakland Naval Supply Depot, a popular supply center for the Navy’s Pacific Fleet from World War II until the late 1990s. Since then, the depot was closed and transferred to the Port of Oakland, now the fifth largest and busiest port in the United States.
The new location at MHSP will continue to offer festival-goers expansive views of the Bay, downtown San Francisco, and the Bay Bridge. Additionally, the new space will offer ample transportation options for those looking to travel to the Festival from across the Bay Area. Fans can expect much of the energy, format, and attractions to remain the same when TIMF returns this Fall with unforgettable music performances set against one of the most unique festival backdrops in the world.
TIMF History and Previous Performers Info:
