Transgender Is the New Gay For Reality TV!!!

When Reality TV hit the airwaves it was the trend to have one gay cast member on the show to show diversity, but now Transgender Is the New Gay For Reality TV.

With I AM Cait, a new era and trend has developed in the reality TV world. Yes there are still gay cast members being added to reality TV shows like Milan Christopher heading to Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, but in this day an age its old news. Milan claims that the rappers on the show won’t film with him. Let’s just say there are reasons.

We have some examples, you can decide where Milan fits in:

See there are many types of people in the world, like there are gay men. There are gay men who like men and masculinity, there are heavy-set men who like heavy-set men (Bears). Then there are the trendy guys and the body boys. The Trendy Guys are as follows; (these guys stay in touch with the ever-changing trend, the follow and never steer from the lifestyle “gay”). As for the body boys, they only talk, hang out with, and date other body boys. Many of them will NOT date a guy who has a bigger waist than 32 inches, have flat stomachs or ripped abs, big chests and muscles.  A lot of these guys tend to be gossip, and talk behind others back while smiling in your face.

But in this reality TV crazy to hire a gay cast member is becoming harder since producers are trying to tantalize their audience by taking them further and further into the world of “gay life.”

Gay cast members coming out is like yesterdays news, so the come out is no big deal unless they are a sports figure in the NFL, MLB or NBA.  That area is still new ground since most men who come out in sports end up having a short career.

As for, gays on reality TV – Coming out and having your life exploited for all to watch has been done numerous times and audiences are becoming immune to it.  That is why the NBT (Next Big Thing) is Transgender’s.

It’s become such a trend, that the White House announced their first Transgender earlier this week:

Caitlyn Jenner’s reality TV series has proven to be a success (it was E!’s highly hyped and teased Bunim/Murray-produced eight-episode series) and now everyone is scrambling to jump on the bad wagon. The first show to announce their first Transgender is Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Here is what Deadline has to say about “I Am Cait”:

The newest cast mate is Amiyah Scott, the woman who should be adding some spice to the new season since NeNe Leakes has officially left.

There are other shows about Transgenders like , but let us NOT forget the first show to ever have a transgender contestants was Ru Paul’s Drag Race with Carmen Carrera and Monica Beverly Hillz. Both ladies were on the show, but ended up not making the top 5.

However, Ru Paul’s Drag Race, came under fire for a mini-challenge on the show titled “Female or She-Male,” wherein contestants were asked to identify whether someone was a cisgender (a non-transgender woman, in this case called a “Female”) woman, or a former Drag Race contestant (“She-Male”) based on a portion of a photo.

It resulted in RuPaul and the show’s producers to release a statement on the matter:

“We delight in celebrating every color in the LGBT rainbow. When it comes to the movement of our trans sisters and trans brothers, we are newly sensitized and more committed than ever to help spread love, acceptance and understanding.”

Starz new series Blunt Talk starring Patrick Stewart kicked off the first episode with a transgender character who explains that she’s a tranny.

When Blunt asks if she had it cut off, she replies with, “let’s just say I have a 9″ clit.”

Stewart recently weighed in on the first episode, saying:

” I was amazed. I loved the way it began, and there were times when that almost changed. There were some who thought it should begin with a bang, you know, find some way to begin with the scene on the car and the cops and all of that. But instead, there is a two page dialogue about the Duke of Windsor using a pair of testicles, and I love that scene. It’s so odd and eccentric, a guy talking to the barman late at night, too much booze. I love that it stayed the way it was because it kind of has a serious beginning. He’s talking about English history and how it almost messed everything up and then didn’t, and gives you no idea where the show is going to go.”

The Transgender movement has begun. Thanks Cait!

So what’s NEXT?

Well, CelebNMusic247.com can assure you that any reality TV show that was going to have a gay character on the show will most likely be replacing them with a Transgender.

We hope this is NOT going to be the trend, but like everything in Hollywood, most likely it will. It would be to see a Transgender couple or a gay and a Transgender on a show and how they differ from each other on points of few and more, but we will have to see.

Thoughts?
