As we all know by now, VH1 has decided to film a biopic centered around the lives and the career of former R&B girl group TLC. – But now T-Boz is firing back and shutting down the criticism against the cast.

Now that things are well underway with the project it has come under much controversy when it comes to the cast of the biopic feature.

Once  it was confirmed that Keke Palmer (Chilli), Lil Mama (Left Eye), and Drew Sidora (T-Boz) would be taking on the challenge, fans were outraged.

Most specifically, peopleweren’t confident that Lil Mama could pull of Left-Eye, the female rapper who was loved and tragically died too soon. And while Keke already has proven her acting chops in numerous films and shows, people didn’t think she looked enough like Chilli to handle the part. Both Lil Mama and Keke clapped back at the criticism on their Twitter accounts, but now it appears that T-Boz herself has decided to put the critics in their place as well.

After T-Boz posted a picture of the actresses in costume and showed support, fans of TLC immediately began to bombard the comment section with their grievances. T-Boz responded by reminding them that the film is about her and her group, so they would know best who to choose for the roles. She also made it a point to tell the fans to stop being judgmental and give the actresses a chance to prove themselves, which comes from our friends over at UrbanbelleMag.

It’s true it is a movie about T-Boz herself and she would know better than fans, who only know the group on stage performing.  Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins knows herself, , rapper Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and singer Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas better than fans. sorry to be bruttally honest, but Tionne has a valid point!

Check what T-Boz said when expressing her feelings about the biopic:

We think T-Boz is right and that Keke, Lil Mama and Drew will surprise us all and pull it off. Fans need to sit back and let them worry about making an accurate film with all the highs and lows unlike Notorious which cut out all the real drama behind the scenes that fans need to see. When artist show their good and their ugly side it makes for an Oscar winning movie…we hope they do just that and leave in all the dirt.
