Studio Worries Mrs Doubtfire Sequel In Doubt?!?

Less than hours after Robin Williams suicide, an article surfaced claiming that the Studio Worries Mrs Doubtfire Sequel In Doubt. Too Soon Hollywood!

Oh how cold Hollywood can be when it comes to celebrity deaths. Yesterday we lost a great man named Robin Williams, but unfortunately Hollywood just see’s money lost.

CelebNMusic247.com has learned according to a new article in Variety.com which is now being dubbed insensitive by The HuffingtonPost.com after the magazine writes Robin Williams apparent suicide “casts an obvious shadow of doubt on the potential ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ sequel.”

Here’s the breakdown:

In what may yet be one of the most self-evident sentences written in magazine history, Variety magazine wrote in the hours following Robin Williams’ death that his apparent suicide “casts an obvious shadow of doubt on the potential ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ sequel.”

Williams, 63, was found dead at his home in California. A statement released by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said the Coroner Division “suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia, but a comprehensive investigation must be completed before a final determination is made.”

LA Entertainment magazine Variety greeted the news with the story: ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ Sequel In Doubt After Robin Williams’ Death”.

“Sources say that though no decision has been made on the future of the project, written by David Berenbaum,” the report read.

We hope the film is shelved! without Robin there is no Mrs Doubtfire!

But we all know that Hollywood likes to reboot films without the original stars which end up as disastrous and usually flop! Take for instance two Jim Carey movies he refused to do, so he was replaced and both movies SUCKED  – The Mask 2 and Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd

One report said that Williams was against doing sequels, but we have a hunch he was talking about Mrs Doubtfire. The film was complete by the end of the film and there was NO NEED to continue the story. A sequel sounds a bit thristy if you ask us. Why can’t Hollywood leave great films alone and come up with a new story like Mrs Doubtfire, but has nothing to do with the Film or its star. Leave Robin Williams comedic master-piece alone.

Robin will still live on screen for the next year in films like “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb,” set for December 19, 2014, the Dito Montiel drama “Boulevard,” “Merry Friggin’ Christmas,” in which he stars with Candice Bergen and Lauren Graham and as the voice of Dennis the Dog in British live-action comedy “Absolutely Anything,” set to be released next year (2015).
