(CelebNMusic247-News) Sport Fitness Clothing are The New Black

Stella McCartney and Adidas sparks new Fashion trend with sport fitness clothing that is changing the way we dress. Yes, Sports fitness clothing is the new black!

Fashion is ever changing and more and more sports fitness clothing stores are opening left and right, thanks to Stella McCartney and Adidas.

Workout clothes for women, once relegated to the back of the closet, are moving to the front of the fashion scene. Yoga pants are the new jeans, neon sports bras have become the ‘‘it’’ accessory and long athletic socks are hipper than high heels.

In New York three sport fitness clothing stores all opened up on the same street due to the high demand, Thanks to Stella McCartney fitness wear has become a staple in metropolitan cities like New York, New Jersey, Boston, Washington DC, Philly and Chicago for women and men who are on their daily grind.

Fitness clothing is easy, simple, fashionable and makes a statement these days for the individual on the go. Fitness clothing can show off your best assets and still be fashionable when walking down the street going from the gym to lunch or even shopping to work.

Blame it on the push by many Americans toward a more active lifestyle. Or call it an extension of the nation’s fascination with fashion. Either way, these days jogging suits are just as likely to be seen on a runway in New York as a treadmill in Texas.

In fact, sales of workout gear are growing faster than sales of everyday clothing — by a lot. Spending on workout clothes jumped 7 percent to $31.6 billion during the 12-month period that ended in August from the same period a year ago. That compares with a 1 percent rise in spending for other clothing to about $169.2 billion, reports Boston.com

More and more people have been spotted on these trendy new looks, called the sports fitness era of fashion. With designers like Stella McCartney who collaborated with Adidas in May of 2013, the trend has taken off.

McCartney found a way to take fitness wear and make it edgy yet restrained sensibilities paired with the athletic accents synonymous with Adidas.

Back in May (2013), McCartney, the daughter of former Beatle Paul McCartney, told Glamour that she was inspired to design workout gear because she enjoys staying in shape.

“I really felt women were getting the tail end of the design in active wear, not getting the technology or design we deserved. …we were getting the leftover work from the sports design houses.”

Stella continued to explain that she was going against the typical baby blues and pinks she noticed at most gyms.

She adds:

“I didn’t want to feel ashamed when walking to the gym if I bumped into a friend of mine.”

“I wanted to feel good about the way I looked.”

Well Stella McCartney’s vision has paid off because Fitness wear is the new black these days.
