It’s official, Saturday Night Live’s head writer Seth Meyers popped the question to his longtime love, lawyer Alexi Ashe!
Meyers rep confirmed the news to US Weekly. The late-night funny man, who grew up in Manchester, N.H., met Ashe at a wedding several years back and sources said:
The 39-year-old “Weekend Update” anchor formally proposed on Friday:
“He’s known that she’s The One for awhile, but it was all about timing.”
Meyers wrapped his final full season of “Saturday Night Live” in mid-May and will take over Jimmy Fallon’s “Late Night” time slot on NBC when Fallon replaces Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show.”
