Despite the extremely long opening monologue that lost its punch about halfway in with William Shatner, Oscars did well ratings wise.
Thanks to the animation domination king of sacasim and racial humor, Seth MacFarlane who hosted the Oscar ceremony at the Dolby Theater in (February 24) Hollywood, CA.
MacFarlane’s hosting skills was viewed by 40.3 million people throughout the night and it earned a 13.0 rating in the 18-49 demo. That means 13 percent of all television-equipped households were tuned in to the show!
Last year’s ceremony was viewed by 39.3 million people and it scored an 11.7 demo rating. Does this mean Seth may be coming back next year for the 2014 Academy Awards?
