Sam Smith & Mary J. Blige Grammy Performance!

Last night was Sam Smith’s night to win, win and win again for his hit single “Stay With Me” and Sam Smith & Mary J. Blige Grammy Performance was a hit.

In a sea of lackluster performance like Kanye West’s first performance after a 6 year hiatus from the Grammys we still have learned one thing. He’s FULL of himself.

Meanwhile, we were able to see history among the misses of performances as were dragged through the 3.5 hour Grammys and 27 performances that could have been cut down to 20. However, the night had it’s moments and one was the pairing of Sam Smith and Mary J Blige, who breathed new life into the over-played song “Stay With Me” that made Sam the overall winner of the night.

The performance of a stripped-down “Stay With Me” kicked off with a giant orchestra. Smith, rocking yet another outfit change, belted out his usual brand of overwhelming vocals.

Luckily, it was Mary who drove the song home along with and a host of backup choir members. Although it was one of the least-flashy performances of the evening, but it was also exactly what we were hoping for from these two.
