Roseanne Barr Tweet Gets Roseanne Cancelled

Roseanne Barr was back on top of the world with her hit series return of Roseanne, but a series of racist tweets ENDED it ALL! ABC swiftly AXED the show! Didn’t Roseanne learn that she has to watch what she says on social media?

Apparently, NOT, because Roseanne Barr NOT only proved she was pro Trump, she also proved she’s a racist bigot as well. #SMH

CelebNMusic247.com has just received word that Roseanne has been officially canceled by ABC as of Tuesday morning after the show’s biggest star, Roseanne Barr, went on a racist Twitter rant. Roseanne got her news despite her LATE apology, because ABC had already cancelled. Read on…

Roseanne Barr Tweet Gets Roseanne CancelledThe cancellation stunned Hollywood, but Roseanne had the possibility to run the test of time until her mouth got in the way.

ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said in a statement:

Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show.

Disney CEO Bob Iger added on Twitter:

There was only one thing to do here, and that was the right thing.

The sad part is the revival of “Roseanne” premiered to huge ratings just three months ago. Pre-production was already underway on a second season, which was scheduled for Tuesdays at 8 p.m. this fall.

Barr went on her Tuesday morning tweetstorm, demonizing Valerie Jarrett, Chelsea Clinton and George Soros. While Barr thought she was using her freedom of speech to verbally attack people by trolling them, ABC sat, watch and went silent for several hours while deciding what to do.

By late morning on the West Coast, executives had decided to boot the reboot.

A Disney source said:

It’s a question of right and wrong. And it’s a question of our company’s values.

Congressman John Lewis thanked ABC saying:

There is not any room in our society for racism or bigotry.

It just got worse, because some of Barr’s colleagues publicly rebuked her!

One of the show’s consulting producers, Wanda Sykes, said:

I will not be returning to @RoseanneOnABC.”

Sara Gilbert, who plays Barr’s daughter on the ABC sitcom, tweeted:

Barr’s comments are “abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show. This is incredibly sad and difficult for all of us, as we’ve created a show that we believe in, are proud of, and that audiences love — one that is separate and apart from the opinions and words of one cast member.”

Emma Kenney, who played Roseanne’s granddaughter on the reboot, tweeted:

I feel so empowered by @iamwandasykes, Channing Dungey and those at ABC standing up against abuse of power and lack of values. Bullies do not win. Ever.

Bottom line, Roseanne showed her true colors about where she stands about people and she’s a racist. It’s an ugly beast, but thanks to Trump, everyone thinks racism needs to come back. It NEEDS to be dissolved and people who think racist jokes are funny NEED their entertainment license revoked.

ABC did the right thing.
